We have a tour of the new(ish) Vis Center scheduled! If you want to see
some of the cool stuff that goes on there or have always just wondered

It is time for the ACM to hold elections for the Outstanding Teacher, Gradu=
ating Senior, and Teaching Assistant for the 2007-2008 academic year. We w=
ill hold the elections this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday in the CS main =
office in 773 Anderson Tower. Below are the rules for the election. Pleas=
e show up with your student ID and vote in this year's awards!

The polls will be open from 12-3pm on Wed., Thurs., and Fri. this week! Ho=

Welcome to another exciting semester here at UK and especially for us in
the Computer Science Department. For those of you who don't know, the
ACM is a professional society that caters to computer scientists. We
here at the UK-ACM attempt to provide avenues for socialization and
learning for the UK-CS students. Please consider becoming an active
member in the group!

A few announcements to be made:

1) Tutors Needed!
Its almost time for us to show up to ESC tutoring again. Thanks to
those that volunteered their time before! We need 3 people to tutor on
Wednesday November 28th from 5-7pm in the RGAN Commons. There will be
pizza. Just show up and help who you can, questions generally will be
100 and 200 level engineering and science classes (MA 113-214, Physics,
Chemistry etc). Please let me know ASAP if you can help us out!

2) Halo Event
Thanks to everyone who showed up and made the Halo Event at the Cat's
Den this weekend a success! Congratulations to all the prize winners

Saturday, November 10th from 1-6pm in the Cat's Den (Student Center)
An afternoon of intense multiplier competition and cooperation, with lots of prizes and food! Best of all, its free!
